On Sunday, May 12, over 1,000 children, families, and duck-lovers gathered on Boston Common for the cutest event in Boston - Duckling Day.
The rainy weather didn't dampen the iconic Mother's Day tradition, as children enjoyed performances from Magician Peter O'Malley and Jenny the Juggler, and activities from Knucklebones Play and Esh Circus Arts. The Harvard Marching band turned the Parkman Bandstand into a duckling dance floor, performing peppy takes on classic pop songs.
Mayor Martin J. Walsh, Media Sponsor WCVB's Rhondella Richards, and Executive Director Liz Vizza kicked off a festive parade through Boston Common and the Public Garden, finishing at the Make Way for Ducklings statue.
