I just had to use my son’s Starbucks tumbler!
My favorite drink from Starbucks has to be their Matcha Soy Latte. I order it all the time when I’m at Starbucks back in Singapore. I would have done the same here if the Starbucks in Dubai serve this drink!
Since I now have matcha powder, I tried replicating the drink on my own and I have to say it’s pretty close. The best part? It only costs me a fraction of what I have to pay at Starbucks! I’m a happy woman! ♥
Here’s the recipe for matcha soy latte. Enjoy!
MATCHA SOY LATTE
Makes 1 glass
Ingredients:
- 12 gram matcha green tea powder
- 60 ml boiling water
- 30 gram sugar (adjust this to taste)
- 280 ml soy milk (you can also use regular milk)
Method:
- Add matcha powder, boiling water and sugar in a matcha bowl (or any heat proof bowl) and whisk until smooth.
- Put soy milk in a saucepan and heat to a simmer.
- Whisk milk into matcha mixture. If you like it hot, stop here. Or you could add ice cubes to enjoy a cup of iced matcha soy latte.
- You can also turn the drink into
frappuccino by transferring the latte to a blender, add ice and blend away. ♥♥
