I'm trying to start something new today....well, very late Monday evening. I think I'm going to try and post more polish pictures again by doing "Manicure Mondays." I credit Kelly over at The Vegan Taff for the inspiration. Her manicure posts are impeccable and always inspire me to paint my nails. So, feeling inspired this week, I think I'm going to attempt a similar weekly "series."
To begin our nail swatch love, we have Zoya's "Leslie" which is from the most recent Spring Collection. It's a very pale lilac with this amazing iridescent duo-chrome shifting shimmer. I see hints of green, gold and turquoise. Looking at it on my nails makes me think of fairies and pixie dust. It's so similar to my skin tone that it's not something I would typically reach for, but it's absolutely gorgeous. It's the kind of thing where it almost looks like a nude polish until the light hits it and you get a glimpse of its fantastic shifting pixie magic! As always with this type of polish, it's difficult to pick up the true beauty in photos, but I gave it a shot. You see it more from the bottle in the picture than anything else. Trust me though, it's gorgeous! Not to mention it is opaque in only one coat!!! I painted a second because I almost always do, but it was perfect from stroke one. I really expected streaking or rather sheer coverage, but nope. It is a very light shade, but definitely not sheer. Highly, highly recommend this one! :)
Zoya polishes retail for $9 each and can be purchased online through Zoya's website where there is also a salon locator to find your nearest retailer.
