here comes the mango season and V bought some mangoes which are not mush grown and not fully grown seed. Those are not much sour and i made kuzhambu with that and some left over in pantry and i want to try the thokku recipe which i tried long back in home. This is a keeper recipe and i learnt from my aunt who made this in clay pot which increases flavor and she sundries it before consumption and adding hot oil for a week.It soaks in the oil and absorbs all we add there and gives a perfect flavor and taste. This thokku can be made with any type of mangoes but little sour in taste will go well. One of my favorites ,no,my all time favorite type of mango ie none other than kallamani variety and i will live that entire life:)with little salt and red chilli powder :)mouthwatering, isn't it?

But here i did not able to make like that one and i make it in simple way and this long for weeks if you stored in refrigerator. For red chilli powder, sun dry the dry red chillies and powder it and use it.This will give enough flavor and color to the recipe or if you are using store bought powder, use te minimum amount as it has more spicy flavor in it.I used the store bought one and this recipe will guide all of you those who are out from native like me.Use gingelly oil sesame oil for the recipe and you need little more for making pickle recipes.dont worry about the oil as it is very good for health and it balances everything in the pickle, thats why we are using sesame oil or gingelly oil for making pickles.try this thokku and let me know how it came.lets move on making this.,
