Mango Saffron Smoothie

Summer is synonymous to mango :).How can one not take the advantage over those luscious n juicy mangoes seen practically everywhere?.Today I made this smoothie in which malgova mango is paired with saffron steeped whole milk  and flavored with cardamom. Saffron and cardamom seem to make a brilliant pair,the color was spectacular whereas the taste was simply out of world.This is a very healthy and tasty drink for kids. One more way to enjoy 'The king of fruits' :)
Mango saffron smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup of roughly chopped mango pieces
2 cups whole milk
3 Tbs sugar or honey
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1 big pinch of saffron + few strands for garnishing
Method:
Steep saffron in the milk for 15 minutes to 30 minutes.Blend all the ingredients along with saffron soaked milk and refrigerate. Garnish with saffron strands and serve cold.
Time: 10 minutes (excluding soaking and regirating time)
Serves : 3
