Making Scents: A Mother's Day Celebration With Downy
Last May 6, Downy hosted an intimate celebration at the Manila Peninsula's The Conservatory to pay tribute to mothers.
All the guests were requested to dress in their timeless outfit so I came clad in my favorite LWD (little white dress) and black open-toed heels - simple yet classic.
I was one of the early birds and had to wait a bit, but as soon as doors of The Conservatory opened, I was immediately ushered to this beautifully petal-backed drop corner to have my picture taken.
After the quick pictorial, I took a few photos for the blog and then proceeded to look for some mommy bloggers to chat with since I came alone. Thankfully, I spotted Raisa Tan of The Asian Parent and Mommy Milette of www.milette.sison.me together with her daughter so I had them join me at my table.
From the time we came in, delectable hors d'oeuvres and cold drinks were being proffered non-stop by the attentive waiters. I actually had quite a few servings but somehow still managed to leave a space for the main course! :)
When everyone had settled, the ever-so- lovely, Stephanie Zubiri - Crespi opened the program and shared some tidbits regarding motherhood talking about how it is to be a new mom and how her own mother played a vital role in molding her to be mom that she is today.
Then, P&G's Communications Manager, Deirdre de Padua, continued the program with a brief introduction of Downy Parfum Collection's latest offering.

Continuing the program, Downy presented us with a surprise - a touching photo slideshow that left some mommies teary-eyed.
For an added treat, singer Guji Lorenzana serenaded us with a couple number of timeless love songs while being served lunch.

Lunch was really yummy, but I had to skip dessert and leave early.
I don't know if I missed anything special but it's ok as I really had a wonderful time.
