Eye make up has always been my problem since my eyes are really small and are monolids.
The first thing you’d notice is that no matter how thick the make up you applied you’d still see nothing when you open up your eyes. Then second, liquid eyeliners are the best enemy because it emphasizes my uneven lids and also smudges the perfect line because my lids eat up the make up.
What I used today: (Left to right) Nichido Mascara, Marykay brow and eyeliner definer, Nichido creamy liner in chestnut, Nichido coffee brown eye liner, Revlon eye lash clump, Max Factor Pan Stik Cream foundation, MaryKay Mineral powder foundation in Ivory, Loreal Mineral Blush in Coral and MaryKay Brushes.
After all the foundation is set I begun with the darker liner I got from Nichido, applied it all through the base lines near the lashes. I applied a really thick line and then smudged it with my fingers. If you’re used to doing a smokey eyes, same technique applies to this. then on the inner crease I dabbed in the chestnut creamy liner for a slight contour. Finished with a final application of darker brown liner again on the base lines for definition and then Mascara.
Now normally eye make ups are only at the boundaries of the crease (arcs of the eyes) but as I said Asians often have monolid eyes so we have to go beyond the folds to be able to show some colors.
Then you might be wondering why I used the liners as a replacement for powder shadows. Because it has more stay on power compared to powders specially on this humid and rainy days - talk about being water resistant!
Thanks to Nichido for the make up session the other day. :)
