Magnificent Monday: A Ride in the Lanes

I had a magnificent Monday of my own today, it was sunny, warm and I went for a great ride with my Dad down in to Surrey and its little country lanes. We rode from home heading southwards in to the rural parts of Surrey, finishing on about 40 miles and 2 1/2 hours riding with some rather tiring climbs! I'm currently recovering from a virus I picked up in Iceland so it was nice to really test my fitness and start getting back in to shape again. There's nothing better than a long ride in fresh air, testing the fitness and getting some speed up on the flats; keeping up with Dad's always a struggle though!
Me at the top of one of the bigger hills todayWe had a great ride and some wonderful weather, we'll be pushing up the mileage later in the week and hopefully heading to Box Hill. My sister completed the London Marathon yesterday in a really good time and there'll be some pictures up tomorrow covering the whole event, taken with my brand new camera!
