Magical Sunset

By Veronica Lopez

No. This is not the surface of a moon-like planet. This is in Thursday Island (also know as Waibe by the Melanesian Torres Strait Islanders) in Torres Strait, north for mainland Queensland, Australia. At first, I didn’t like this photo because it looked very weird, plain and simple. Also because I was still learning how to use my brand new wide angle lens and didn’t exactly know its advantages for panoramic photos, for instance. Now that I look at it again I see that it has the most interesting colours and textures, and that it is unusually beautiful.
