Maggie Holmes Design Team : You + Me

By Jcchris
Hello once again! I'm back with another layout that I absolutely love. One of my favorite thing to do is to fussy cut. When I saw this patterned paper 'parasol', I instantly knew that I had cut them out to create my own background. Fussy cutting is very therapeutic for me. If you haven't try it, you should! Maggie Holmes Design Team : You + MeFirst, I cut the parasols out and kept them aside. I wanted to create lines & texture on the white cardstock,  so I decided to machine stitched the diagonal lines. I really loved the effect. White thread on white cardstock, subtle but looking amazing at the same time. I layered Next, I positioned the photos somewhat in the middle and added all the fussy cuttings onto the white cardstock. A title and some minimal embellishments completed the layout. I wanted to keep this whole layout clean and simple because of the colorful parasol are placed around the layout. Maggie Holmes Design Team : You + MeTo make it more interesting, I snipped part of the lines and created 3D effect to them by adhering foam dots to raise. Maggie Holmes Design Team : You + MeThe positioning of the photos and embellishments need to be placed on the layout in a way that they compliment and enhance the photo(s). It is fairly important to take some time to think thru and have a little plan on how you want to build those layers are you create!Maggie Holmes Design Team : You + Me

The black & white dotted paper sure gave a good contrast with all colors in the layout. Thanks for coming by!Xoxo JessySupplies : Crate Paper Sunny Days - Parasol, Glossy Puffy Thickers, Rhinestones. Willow Lane - Puffy Stickers
