Let me share with you my creative process...
Firstly, I used the gesso to paint over the polka-dot paper to give a subtle look. Once that is dried, I adhered the diagonal stripes on the left side of my layoutThen, I started to work with the composition where I placed the photo in the middle and arranged the ephemera die-cuts all around the photo. I wanted to keep this layout with monochrome colors in mind but with a splash of gold. Choosing specific colours really help me to speed up the creative process too. I really loved the end result. And as always, I completed my layout with hand-journaling. Layering has been one of my preferred techniques whenever I create. It definitely gives a very interesting outcome to my creations. I always love including paper doilies to create the softer look to my layout. That black & white bow is just perfect. It sure gave the dimension that I wanted!Supplies: Maggie Holmes Carousel 12x12 patterned paper - KaleidoscopeMaggie Holmes Carousel 12x12 patterned paper - Rose ParkMaggie Holmes Carousel Ephemera Die-CutsMaggie Holmes Carousel Small Embellishments - Gem Stars, ButtonMaggie Holmes Carousel Fabric Bow - Black & White StripesMaggie Holmes Carousel Gold Foil Stickers
