Maggie Holmes Design Team : My Heart is Full

By Jcchris
Hello again! I have always used a system when I create a scrapbook layout. The first thing I would do is to choose a photo. Then I will take a good look at the photo and try to get some inspiration from it. Often times, the colors and the title will lead my creative process. For this layout, I do not have any sketch design in mind but I went with the flow.
I was looking at the products and in my stash. I saw the balance of the ruffles from the previous layout I worked on and thought I should use them again on this layout. I began to layer from the bottom to the top. I didn't intend to cover the whole background as I wanted to fill the gap with patterned paper.
Maggie Holmes Design Team : My Heart is Full What I did next was to place the photo in the middle of the sections and build my layers all around the photo. At the top section I layered fun ephemera die-cuts. The other half of the section where the ruffles are adhered, I added lots of different dimension stickers. I used the butterflies as my color inspirations too.
Maggie Holmes Design Team : My Heart is Full The textures are amazing on this layout!
Maggie Holmes Design Team : My Heart is Full The fringed paper butterflies are one of my fav in the Chasing Dreams collection!
Maggie Holmes Design Team : My Heart is Full The ruffles sure gave a very girly, pretty look to my layout! Absolutely love that!
