Maggie Holmes Design Team : Happy Heart

I'm so happy to know that my daughter enjoys school very much! She even has a very good friend in her class. Both of them are so cute together and pretty inseparable at times. They do everything together in school. They often asked about each other at home too. That certainly warms my heart! What a beautiful friendship they have! I managed to snap a few shots of them playing together after school & decided to use the shots on my layout. I love the colours on their attires and just like that, I took it as an inspiration.
 As I was looking at the Shine collection, I spotted embellishments that are similar colours to the attires in the photos. I was thrilled! So I begun to look for more and I had quite a bit of selections to work with. And since I have all the colours that I wanted, I went with a background paper that has very minimal pattern. Absolutely adore all those cute b&w frames! To give a subtle look to the layout, I added vellum & sew it on the patterned paper. That way it enhanced the colours even more! I also kept the composition relatively simple, worked in '4 boxes' - where I positioned 2 photos diagonally and 2 more filled with fun elements. Also added more fun embellishments at each corner of the photos, just to balance up the whole composition.
