Maggie Holmes Design Team : Delight

By Jcchris
Lately, I got myself a whole roll of streamers and thought it would be awesome to use it on my project. Without thinking what I should do with them yet, I just started to sew them to create ruffles. I have always enjoyed working with ruffles. They don't only look pretty on my project but they do give amazing textures too!
Maggie Holmes Design Team : DelightOnce I was done with the sewing, I thought it would be fun to create background with the ruffles. I really love this patterned paper but I wanted it to look subtle. So I spread some gesso on it. I love how airy and light it looked. The ruffles matched perfectly well!

Layering is a fast technique you can try whenever you want to create a fuller look to your project! And by adding white doilies all around the layout sure gives the classy look that I wanted to achieve.
