Today, I would like to share with you on how I used Maggie's Willow Lane collection and turned them into Christmas pastel cards. Seriously, I love how Maggie's collection can be adapted for different themes and festivals throughout the year. All you need is a little imagination + creativity :)
First, I prepared white cardstock as my base. Then I went thru my scraps and picked out papers that will be used as background papers for my 3 cards. I also carefully selected elements that I will be used on my cards so that my cards will look matching. For this first card, it is really easy to put together. I only cut the leaves out with the help of my precission scissors. The rest of the elements are carefully compose so they look nice together. That pom pom pink frame is just perfect to add onto the card for depth and dimension.
Next, I snipped out 3 christmas trees. You can always outline the trees before cutting them. Once that is done, I added in fun pieces like star stickers and sentiments to enhance my card. I love how fast and easy it was!
For this final card, I really wanted to add this cute unicorn. I fussy cut and adhered it with the rest of the scrap of papers that I have in my stash. I carefully chose the colors for this card so it would still look cohesive with the rest of the cards. Adding the star decorative trim sure gave a little fun look!
Just a little twist of colours & positioning embellies, you can create these cards fast! And Christmas projects do not have to be red, green & white. It can be as pastel colors as these :)
So the next time when you are running out of ideas, create something smaller to begin with! Somehow, you will find your inspirations again :)Merry Christmas, creative friends! Xoxo Jessy
