Every now & then, I really enjoyed doing altered projects. It's really fun to personalise a project that suits my style! They are perfect for gifts too! This time, I wanted to alter a notebook for a little girl's birthday. I got to know that her favorite color is blue. Without hesitation, I dug out Maggie Holmes Shine collection. All the shades of blue + pretty embellies in that collection is perfect for the theme! 
Firstly, I measured & trimmed the patterned paper to adhere onto the notebook. Once the base is done, I stuck the doily in the middle. Then I started layering with lots of pretty chipboard stickers. Finally, I added the sticker 'Shine Bright' and the girl's name. This book will be perfect for her to doodle or to journal her thoughts.
