Macadamia "Hot Curling Brush" - £16.16 - £23.18Macadamia "Healing Oil Treatment" (full size) - £9.68 - £42.26
I have been a fan of the Macadamia haircare range ever since trying their deep repair masque a few months back. I picked it up from TK Maxx after seeing 'Miss Glamorazzi' mention it in one of her videos saying it had made a big difference to her hair, and as it was there for less than half price I decided to try it out. There was a noticeable difference after just one use and after being so impressed I resolved to try more products within the range.
This being the case - when I was asked a couple of weeks ago if I would like to try out one of the new Macadamia "Hot Curling Brushes" I jumped at the chance to do so - hoping to be equally dazzled by the results. Once it arrived, I was also pleasantly surprised to see that a sample of the "Healing Oil Treatment" had been included for me to try - something I had heard a lot of good things about and was equally excited to give a whirl.
First off - the brush. Now I'm tough to please when it comes to this kind of thing - I'm pretty loyal to my beloved tangle teaser, and as I tend to wear my hair in a tousled, messy, 'I've just rolled out of bed' kind of way most of the time, it doesn't take much styling. However, I've had to make more of an effort lately to look a bit sleeker in my new job and this has done a fabulous job in helping me to do so.
The bristles are super soft unlike the majority of cheap curling brushes you may find yourself picking up from the drugstore on a whim - which to me makes it worth the extra money straight away. There is nothing worse than a brush that feels like it is scratching your scalp and causing more damage than good - this avoids such instances entirely though and thanks to the lovely quality of the bristles, it manages to grip your hair much better than any of the brushes I have tried previously, making it much easier to style. All in all, a really lovely quality brush that I feel I can definitely recommend.
Now onto the "Healing Oil Treatment" - the first thing I noticed before I even applied it was how amazing it smelt - this in itself would probably be enough to convince me to buy it if I'm honest. After using it though I was even happier with what I found. You only need the smallest amount to get it to work - massaging it into the ends of your towel dried hair and voilà! The ends of my hair were left shiny and feeling luscious. It made a noticeable difference throughout the day too - as normally after a twelve hour day at work the frizz starts working it's way in. In this case though, my hair stayed looking sleek all day and there was no sign of grease as I sometimes find to be the case with products like this.
I have yet to try the infamous Moroccan Oil but I can tell you now that I will be extremely impressed if it can achieve results anywhere near as good as this. In fact, I've put in an order from Feel Unique this week so that I can get a true comparison!
I'd be really interested to know what people's favorite hair oils are and whether or not you've tried any of the Macadamia products?
Hope you're all well :) Still not posting quite as often as I'd like - looking to get my little blog a mini makeover in the next week or so though in the hope that it'll work as motivation!TTFN anyway!
