Luxury Lip Balms

By Brightowngirl @Brightowngirl
Luxury Lip BalmsI seem to have a thing for expensive lip balms. Two in particular that I have been loving are from Dior and By Terry.
I think most people have heard of the By Terry Baume De Rose. (£35 Space NK) It is famous in the blog world and I think rightly so. It's a ridiculous price at £35 (gasp) but it does have its pros. It leaves a light pink hue to the lips, which is nice if you just want a hint of color. It contains lipid boosting active ingredients as well as SPF 15 which help to repair and protect the lips. It is quite a thick balm which is made up of shea butter and rose wax which hydrates and nourishes the lips. It is a gorgeous balm but I am not quite sure I would fork out for it again. Time will tell though, it is a lovely treat so might be worth putting on your birthday/Christmas list if you are desperate to try it.
The Dior Addict Lip Glow (£19.10 Escentuals) is one of those adapt to you skin tinted balms. It is clear when you first apply it but then slowly turns a sheer pinky shade. It is actually more moisturising than I expected it to be as it is enriched with wild mango and luffa cylindrica. (not really sure what that is) These help to protect the lips as well as moisturise them, so my  lips are left feeling smooth and soft. It also has sun protection factor of 10 which is a bonus.
This is definitely a balm I would repurchase without thinking about, its easy to apply and leave such a lovely pink hue to the lips.
Both balms are fantastic and I would recommend them if you had the money to splurge but there is also alternatives out there if you don't.
Have yo tried either of these?
