I took a very interesting tour of this area (so let me know if you're going to Paris and need a tour guide) and a portion of that was dining at this totally low key but packed and extremely well known felafel place! It's called (as there are a few there) L'as du Fallafel.
I got the complete (vegan) felafel platter. I mean, if I have access to baguette, why eat pita? Aside from killer felafel balls, that crispy eggplant on that dish was THE best eggplant I have ever eaten in my entire life. The hummus and tehjni strongly rivaled the Israeli versions I truly love, and other salads were crisp and flavorful and really just perfect.
Of course, nothing rounds our your day ~ or a bucket list of must-do items ~ like going all the way to the top of the Eiffel Tower, at night, while it sparkles!
I have a fear of heights so on our dinner ~ a light one at a bistro called Sanseveria just off Place de la Concorde ~ we adults imbibed with vin Chaud. It's a hot spiced wine you can explore the city while drinking! Think hot apple cider meets sangria...yeah. It's that good. I then nibbled a few roasted almonds and freshly made salt and pepper potato chips followed by uber fresh tomatoes with avocado and basil (and a Hoegarden with lemon.) This was all part of the plan to help meI conquer my fear of heights as then I went with my friends, along the Champs Élysées, and through the Christmas Market, to the Eiffel Tower. To the very top.
It. Was. Spectacular. I never need to do it again (ha!) but it was truly a moment of a lifetime.
