Luchi-Dee fried flat bread with all purpise flour/maidaToday I am sharing here an absolutely delicious deep fried recipe from West Bengal.According to wiki luchi is a flat bread made of maida and deep fried in ghee/oil.Read more here.When I read a recipe in a magazine,it sounded very simple yet tempting.First I was like hesitant as it is full of maida,but temptation took over me and prepared it.It was so delicious and I served it with a potato fry.A must try simple tasty recipe for those who haven't tried yet.
Luchi recipe
Star ingredients: Maida and ghee
Time:60 minutes(including resting time)
Yield:10
Luchi-Dee fried flat bread with all purpise flour/maida
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons ghee
Salt
Warm water for kneading
Oil for deep frying
Method:
1.Take all the ingredients expect water and oil in a wide bowl.Mix well,start adding water slowly and knead to a smooth dough.

3.Divide the dough into 10 small balls and keep covered for 30 minutes.
4.Heat oil for deep frying.Roll the divided balls into small circles similar to poori
5.Deep fry till golden from both sides on medium flame.

1.If you deep fry before the oil is hot enough,the luchi becomes soggy.
