Meet 16 year old Lorde (Ella Yelich-O’Connor) from Auckland, New Zealand.
The rising singer/songwriter first came onto the scene with the infectious track ‘Royals’, which has since gained over 700k kits on YouTube. Already no 1 on the New Zealand iTunes chart, Lorde is set to release her first official single ‘Tennis Court’, to be taken from her forthcoming ‘Love Club’ EP.
Tennis Courts is thoroughly captivating with its moody atmospheric vocals and deep sultry beats, bringing artists such as Lana Del Rey and Banks to mind. With such a mature and confident sound far beyond her years, Lorde is certainly a star on the rise, having recently been signed to Universal Records.
