Long Live The Luka State ...

This new video from The Luka State has got to be one of the most dramatically enjoyable we've ever seen. Featuring the likes of Thomas Brodie-Sangster (if you don't know the name, don't worry, you'll know the face), 30 Minute Break is a desperately dark, but thoroughly impressive piece that is accompanied by a fast-paced flurry of exciting music ... The Luka State have done it again!!
Long Live The Luka State ...You'll notice that musically, it sounds quite a lot like The Enemy. There's plenty going on, a lot of noise, not much in the way of organisation ... but a whole lot of entertainment - wqe wouldn't want them any other way.
The vocals are much more professional here than what we remember of their earlier work. Something about it all clicks ... and whilst they're quite obviously still very much in the early stages of their careers, we can see something quite special about this one, and wouldn't be too shocked if it went a very, very long way!
The video, is the icing on the top. You'll be filled with a flurry of emotions throughout because you want to hate the main character, played by Thomas, but when you see the ending ... the ingenious ending, your mind will change, though there's even still that slight twinge of hatred throughout your body. It's fantastically acted, ingeniously shot, wonderfully thought out ...and couldn't have been better done for this quite spectacular display of music.
The boys of The Luka State can be massively proud of this piece and, with this on their repertoire, we envision that a lot of big-wigs in the industry will be taking them a lot more seriously from now on!
Paul.
