In our last London Fashion Week blog post we showed you some amazing examples of Fashion Week street style – so many pretty outfits, so little time! But now it’s time to take a look at what the pros are wearing in our very own London Fashion Week trend report.
We saw lots of uh-mazing looking coming down the catwalk (and we sat behind Kanye West at one show – yes, we did reach out and touch him. Wouldn’t you?) but you don’t have to go designer to get the look. Here are some of the key trends for AW12 and how to wear them right now with pieces from Republic…
Crafted Union Jack Leggings and Crafted Snakeskin Leggings
Printed leggings were all over the catwalks – we spotted galaxy prints, checks, stripes and even a spot of leopard. Maybe the designers were inspired by Republic’s awesome range? We think so!
We saw maxi dress after maxi dress at Fashion Week – they were everywhere! Luckily this gorgeous feather print dress has just come in at Republic and it’s already on our wishlist. Wear with metallic sandals (also totes on-trend!) for supermodel style.
It was nice to see cosy knits on the catwalk – we love snuggling up in a massive jumper! Draped detail was really popular and lightweight versions are perfect for Spring/Summer. We love these Crafted jumpers – buy both colours to mix and match with denim for those dressed down days.
Our final Fashion Week key trend is inspired by vintage style – think ladylike dresses, pussybow blouses and socks with shoes (we promise it looks good!). Look for pretty prints, cute details and figure-flattering fits.
