Little Mr A Sparkles and Shines for Children in Need

On Monday I got a slip from school saying they were going to be raising money for Children in Need this year with a non uniform day.  However, this wasn’t just a non uniform day.  They were being encouraged to wear something with the theme Sparkle and Shine.

With just 3 days notice I couldn’t think of anything remotely sparkly or shiny that Little Mr A could wear!  It’s just not the sort of clothing you tend to buy for a boy is it?!

I remembered he had his yellow t-shirt left from sports day last year which he is not going to wear again and I also had some felt left from making my advent calendar at the weekend.  I decided to cut out some ‘spots’ and stick them to his t-shirt.  I also stuck on some tin foil ‘spots’ to add that bit of sparkle and shine as requested!

When we arrived at school there were lots of girls in great sparkly dresses, however, only a few of the boys had anything remotely fancy dress on!  Sometimes I do wonder why I bother!

Anyway, Little Mr A looked great and he enjoyed dressing up a bit and that is the main thing isn’t it?!  Plus it got him asking lots of questions about why he was dressed up and about Children in Need.
