Review of Eames Chair from Lakeland Furniture
Little Mr A was recently sent a new chair from Lakeland Furniture. The chair he was sent was the blue Eames chair.
Who are Lakeland Furniture?
Lakeland Furniture are a family run business based in Oldham, selling high end reproductions of famous designs as well as a large range of great value bar stools and dining chairs.
Because the furniture is commissioned by themselves the costs are kept low, however, quality remains high and you are given a 2 year warranty together with a 30 day return period.
There are lots of chairs and tables for sale on their website at a variety of different styles and prices to suit every taste and budget.
What did we think?
When the chair arrived I was impressed with the quality of the pieces and how easy it was to put together. There were just 4 bolts to attach the legs to the chair. You are provided with the allen key to attach the bolts and even a DIY novice, like myself, was easily able to fix the chair together.
Once together the chair looked great. I really liked the pale blue colouring with the pine and silver legs and felt the size was good. It was not too small so that Little Mr A would not be able to use it, however, it was not too large that it couldn’t easily be placed in his bedroom or the front room.
Little Mr A really likes his new chair. He sits on it in his bedroom to play games and downstairs to watch t.v. He really likes the fact that it rocks, however, I am not worried about him rocking in it as the legs are longer at the back so it is fairly safe and he should not be able to rock himself over!
The other thing I like about this chair is that it is easy to clean. Any spilt crumbs or juice can be easily wiped up without any damage being caused to the chair.
The RRP for this chair at the time of writing this review is £32 which I think, for the quality and look of the chair, is very reasonable and great value for money.
Overall I am really pleased with Little Mr A’s new chair and I would highly recommend it for anyone with children aged around 2 +.
