Well we finally made it! After months and months of talking about your birthday, today is finally the day you turn 5. Being the youngest in your class you have been going to your friends’ parties for months and kept asking us when it was going to be your turn! Now the wait is over.
You have given us some good ideas for your party over the last few months (and some not so good) – the imaginary party you threw for yourself a while ago was lots of fun and we took on board your suggestion of chicken nuggets and chips instead of soggy sandwiches – we hope you had fun!
You seem to think that 5 will be a magic age where you will be able to run faster and won’t be scared of anything. You also seem to think all of your teeth are going to drop out now and for some reason can’t wait! I so hope that 5 is a magic age for you and we will do our best to help make it so!
As for your birthday and party you have been quite demanding (no surprises there!). Not only did your invite list change numerous times, you also gave us a huge long list of presents we could buy you! We hope you got everything you wanted.
You have also been making us laugh over the last couple of months with your insistence that we do certain things or we can’t play games at your party!
We did have a brief distraction from talks of your birthday in July whilst you became obsessed with sports day however that didn’t last long and you were soon back to asking how many weeks it was until your birthday!
We hope you have a fantastic 5th birthday and get all the presents you have hoped for.
So, here’s to our grown up Little Mr who gets cheekier and more attitude by the day but who we love so much and can’t wait to see what ’5′ brings!
