Light & Gold Over Paris

By Pmeurice
Last month was really a busy month, and very few time to dedicate to painting…
Although busy, nice moments spent here and there, between London and Paris, meeting friends, and taking pictures that will surely provide me quantity of subjects for the coming weeks.
Here is a quick pastel, taken out of a nice afternoon, walking by the Trocadero. Eiffel tower is usually the attraction, but I decided to go for this late afternoon light, diving on the Invalides. I simplified a bit the landscape, just enough to keep the sense of the atmosphere :

Cloud perspective was indeed the first focus here, but as well, I enjoyed simplifying the colors of the winter trees… purple, blue, and light orange. Joy of Pastels… colors and textures are warming me up!
