Libra Rising - Your Month Ahead - October 2012
Background influences for October
During the first three weeks of the month, your Sun will be moving through your first house allowing you to focus on yourself and express you own personal views to everyone around you. Having a Libran ascendant, you will do this in an even handed way trying to prove your worth to as many people as possible, although you may find that this more independent position for the Sun hampers your efforts to work with other people and goes against your general nature. If this is proving quite problematic, you may find it more to your advantage if for now on projects and things you want to do, you go it alone. This can also be a time when your personal relationships are put under some strain, as you may fail to see or accept your partner's points of view. Later on as we enter the last week of October, you will start to concentrate on matters of personal finance, your personal values and the possessions you own that are dear to your heart.
Mercury finds itself progressing through your 2nd house for most of this month. This is a beneficial time for commercial and financial transactions, so shopping trips and sorting out your personal finances will be high on your agenda; business negotiations are also highlighted now. If you are making an important investment in your future, make sure first that your natal Mercury is not badly positioned in your natal chart before proceeding, otherwise things may not go as you planned.
Venus starts the month in the hidden 12th house so in a social sense you will be hiding away a little and not going out and enjoying yourself as you normally would. This is a time when you will be drawn to help others; your husband or wife or your partner may need you to make some sacrifices on their behalf and you will be in a selfless mood to accede to their wishes. Beware of not falling into the trap of aiding people to get some kind of reward in return, as firstly you will not receive one and secondly this can prove totally counter-productive and ultimately annoying to them in the process.
From the 5th through to the 7th 3 planets all change signs, Mars into Sagittarius and Mercury and Saturn simultaneously into Scorpio. This will see you more active within your local community in the next few weeks and being a bit more prudent and careful on the financial front.

Early into the month and on the 3rd October we have a Venus Neptune opposition squared by Mars. If you are doing some type of project, friends or groups you are working with could let you down or not hold up promises. Try and make sure that they do hold up their side of the bargain without causing any upset and costing you too much time and energy in the process.
On 15th of October there is a new Moon formed in your 1st house, a powerful an influential place for a new Moon to hit. This increases the need for you to make a positive impression on people. If you feel like going out and having new experiences, like for example applying for a new job, taking up a new hobby or changing your appearance with a new haircut or buying new clothing, then go and do it as you will feel energised and self confident.
On the 17th October, Uranus receives a double hit from Mars and Pluto. Your relationships do seem to be existing on permanently shifting sands right now, with you needing an element of freedom and independence to keep the peace. The final act of this month is the full Moon in Taurus, which occurs in your 8th house of sharing and change, opposite to Saturn. This is a full Moon where you have to balance your priorities against the needs of others. Yes, you will want to look after your own affairs first, yet you may have to unexpectedly pay off your debts to others, or even help someone out financially who needs assistance.
