Leo Rising – February 2013
Both your ruler the Sun and Venus are making their way through your 7th house of relationships during the first three weeks of February. This is the house of one to one relationships, personal and professional and you will be examining these intently to see where you can improve then. Marriage is highlighted here and your attitudes to your partner will be tested to see if they are functioning well although the presence of Venus will tend to indicate that they are. All the same, you know, it's never to late to redouble your efforts to strengthen your bond between you both. Venus is after all the planet of love and there should be plenty of love to show and receive between you and your permanent partner especially as Valentine’s Day arrives in mid month. Relationships of all sorts, both personal and professional should be harmonious, even with enemies and people who oppose you. There is one time when you should be careful what you say and this is between 10th and 11th when Venus makes a square to Saturn and upsetting words and actions could cause tension. If there is a chance to make peace again and bury the hatchet though, these weeks in February with Venus in the 7th house may be the time to do so. The New Moon on 10th highlights also one to one relationships, so maybe someone new, personal or professional and possibly older than you are may enter your life now?
Mercury for most of this month is moving through Pisces and your 8th house of sharing, change and intimate issues. The effect of Mercury passing through here may be quite significant. You may long for something to make your life complete, but that particular object of desire may be part or fully owned by someone else. Be aware that jealousy can surface from nowhere and can cause all amounts problems, and battles for control of resources can prove upsetting. Subjects like life after death and the unexplained could fascinate you now. Mars, also in the 8th house highlights your need to sort out shared income finances and property. Relations can become heated if you are not in agreement and tensions can rise over who owns exactly what. This is an intimate and place for Mars to be and it highlights the physical and sexual side of your relationship as this will be more important and prevalent to you now. Mercury turns retrograde on 23rd Feb in Pisces and this may highlight delays in shared financial agreements or the fact that you are being short-changed by someone else. Secrets, especially financial or sexual ones that were hiding away, may now come out into the open!! The Full Moon on 25th arrives in your 2nd house of money, possessions and self worth. This is a great time to sort out your finances, make important purchases or make careful business decisions. In Virgo, your mind will be focused in on the details of any transaction, so hopefully nothing of importance should pass you by.
Jupiter and Saturn are highlighted in February as Jupiter stops moving retrograde and switches to move in direct motion in Gemini and Saturn stops on 18th February and enters a retrograde period on 18th February in Scorpio. Jupiter is passing through your 11th house of friends, groups, hopes and dreams. So where as friends and associations may have been holding you up, now with their help and assistance you can begin to realize your ambitions again. It’s time to expand your role within groups and associations and if you have been quiet recently, it’s time to make your views heard again. Saturn is your 4th house of the home, domestic matters and of women including your mother and it’s influence will focus your mind on family issues, on how you can improve or change your home of domestic arrangements, redecoration or changing the look of your house. Matters with your mother or other family members may come into prominence now and if you have been enduring any difficulties in your relationship with her or them, maybe you can put forward you view of things to make them understand things a little better. Then again, maybe you are taking to much time over domestic affairs and their needs and not thinking about your own requirements?
