Little Mr A was recently sent two great books from Ticktock. The books are from The Wonderful World of Simon Abbott range.
Planes, Trains and Cars answers all the things children ever wanted to know about vehicles (and some interesting facts for grown ups to!). Questions such as 'How long would it take to drive to the Sun?' and 'How many chocolate bars could a dumper truck carry' are all answered in this book.
Animals Everywhere answers those all important questions about a whole range of different animals, including 'How many penguins could you fit into an armchair?' and 'How loud is a lion's roar'.
The books are packed full of facts which are set out in a really easy to read way and each page has lovely, bright illustrations to keep the interest of young readers. The books are aimed at children aged 5-7 which I would consider about right although I do think younger children would enjoy looking at the books with an adult's assistance. There are plenty of fun facts to keep all children entertained and I have really enjoyed looking at these books with Little Mr A too. Little Mr A has really taken to learning new facts since he started school so these books have been a really fun way for him to learn new things both by himself and through sitting with us.
With an RRP of £5.99 each I consider them to be really good value for money and would make a great treat or gift for any young child. Other books in the range include The Solar System and The Big Body Book.
You can keep up to date with all of the latest news from Ticktock by following them on Twitter and Facebook.
