Happy Tuesday!
The first day back to work after a long holiday weekend is the worst, right?
Of course, none of our wonderful memories we made on Memorial Day would be possible without the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for each and every one of us.
So, thank you so very much to our heroes!
This weekend was a big bunch of all things that make this time of year the best time of year.
I finished Emily Giffin's new book "The One and Only." I am such a huge fan of hers. She's one of my absolute favorite authors. However, I really did not care for this book. Thank goodness Kelly B. read it with me. That made it better. I feel like you can't review the book without giving too much away, though. If you're a fan, definitely check it out. She's a fantastic writer, but this just wasn't her best.
On Sunday, we celebrated my BIL's birthday with all things Minnesota: beer, brats, and bocce ball.
We also made an impromptu visit (with Kelly, Syndal and husbands) to Lo's beautiful new house. She and her husband Jesse are one of the sweetest couples ever. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that this whole blogging thing brought so many amazing friendships into my life. {Awwww}
p.s. Lo made the most DELICIOUS guac ever. And I consider myself the unofficial consumer of all things avocado. Yum.
Our patio is going in soon...yay! That means there was also a bunch of yard work happening at our place. Dexter had the right idea, though. His sweet face made me want to lay in the sun with him, but there was none of that happening when 35 bags of mulch and 20 or so plants needed to be tended to.
