My first choice of the week was actually 4 different polishes. I really wanted to wear these polishes for Easter (which was that weekend, if you're like me and can't remember that far back!). They were all from Illamasqua's line of Speckled polishes which I am completely obsessed with. I just alternated one color per nail and added the blue, "Fragile," to my thumb nail. So, starting with my pointer finger, the colors are: "Scarce," "Fragile," "Speckle" and "Mottle." I loved these polishes together! I got a lot of compliments as well.
Next, I changed to Butter London's "Two Fingered Salute" - gotta love that name! :) I really like this polish, but I decided it's not very spring-like for some reason. It's a dusty sage-like green, but the really cool parts are the coppery flecks throughout the polish. They look really beautiful when they catch the light. In the picture, you can see the flecks best in the bottle, but they are definitely visible on the nails as well.
Finally, I wore another Illamasqua polish. I love the Speckled formula so much that I wanted to try their regular formula. I found what seems to me to be an unusual shade of medium-toned bold blue and had found my first subject! It is called "Cameo," and, this is gonna be a huge surprise, I really love it! :) It's a beautiful shade of blue that is both subtle and bold all at once. It's almost neon, but the color it still quite wearable. It's just a really nice, unique color and the formula was really beautiful! It went on perfectly and didn't really need a second coat, though I added one anyway. It seemed to wear really nicely, but like all my polishes, I didn't wear it all that long (my middle finger looks funny because I bumped it while it was drying). Definitely a fan of the Illamasqua polishes - although not the price tags (they retail for $14 and I'd definitely pick their formula over Butter London, but still, that's a lot for nail polish). The color selection available at the Sephora's near me isn't that great either. All the colors are quite beautiful and I like them, but I know I have colors that are pretty similar in most cases. "Cameo" is definitely different from anything else I own though, which is partly why I picked it! :)
So those were the polishes I wore the week before this past one. As I've said, I really love the Illamasqua polishes! I want them all, but I'm restraining myself because I really don't need more nail polish! :) Are there any colors or brands you all are loving that I should check out?
