This is an easy breakfast or dinner roll,which fulls stomach and this is best served with mint chutney,a dip served with tikkas and kebabs.I tasted this tikka twice but not sure of flavors,so i did not try that in home.I saw the same recipe with chicken in my cookbook and finally i want to give a try on that.That is tandoori recipe,you can make it in stove top or in otg.I made these tikkas in stove top using grill pan.I already shared a stove top paneer tikka kathi roll and paneer tikka masala here in my page,check that too.I tasted a roll last month in a restaurant,there they served the best paneer roll i ever tasted.That makes me to try this but that one i tasted was the classic paneer tikka recipe,but without capsicum and other veggies.So having that in mind,i tried this garlic paneer tikka recipe and it came out perfect with garlicky flavor.

This is an easy wrap and you have only paneer and sliced onions inside,so you can enjoy the deliciousness of paneer itself there in the wrap/roll.I used rotis/chapatis for making this roll.You can also make this with all purpose flour/maida based rotis.Serve this with mint chutney or green chutney and this will makes this more tastier.I recommend the marination to be rest for overnight and i also made the tikka masala with this and will post that soon.I used red chilli powder which is homemade ,very spicy one,you can also use kashmiri one for mild spiciness and color.lets move on making.,

If you are using grill pan like me,brush it generously with ghee or oil to avoid sticking and dont overcook the paneer,Grill the paneer medium flame for soft juicy outcome.I marinate the paneer with some chopped garlic with the tikka marinade.lets move on making the recipe.,

Ingredients

  • paneer - 200 gm
  • curd/yogurt - 1/2 cup
  • garlic ,finely chopped - 2 to 3 teaspoons or as per your taste
  • red chilli powder - 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • kasuri methi - crushed
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • chapati/roti - as needed
  • sliced onions - 1 cup
  • mint leaves - as needed
  • salt - to taste
  • ghee/oil - as needed
Instructions
  1. Dice the paneer into cubes,as per your desired size.If you are using frozen paneer,thaw them and then use it.Dont marinade the paneer once you get the packed ones immediately from refrigerator.Just wait till it comes to room temperature and then dice it.

  2. In a clean bowl,take yogurt and whisk it till it turns smooth and to that add red chilli powder,ginger garlic paste,garam masala and kasuri methi(crushed) to it.Mix it well with a spoon.Add enough salt ,chopped garlic and add paneer cubes to it and marinate it evenly with the mixture.

  3. Leave the marinated paneer overnight in the refrigerator.The next day,take it out and wait till it comes to room temperature.Once it get ready,Heat the grilling pan and brush it with enough oil or ghee.

  4. Place the paneer pieces over it and grill those in medium to high flame.If you feel raw,then cook each side till they get browned and once it get done,remove them.
  5. Take a chapati and place thinly sliced onion on one half and place the grilled paneer cubes on top of the onions.Add some mint leaves for extra flavor and color.
  6. Roll it gently and secure it with a toothpick if you want.
  7. Secure it with a tissue paper once again and serve with desired dips or chutneys.
