The lid closes with a click and wouldn’t open up while traveling.

Texture & PigmentationThe Lakme Gold eye shadow palette has 6 shades ranging from peach, nude, olive, rust and gold to matte plumy brown that are appropriate for a day-time look. Most of the shades are good in quality – smooth and soft, but not overly buttery. The shades have sheer to buildable pigmentation with minimal fall-outs. For maximum color intensity, I would suggest using a damp brush to pack the color on the lids. 5 out of 6 shades have frosty/pearly finish with very subtle illuminating shimmers. However, the shimmers aren’t visible very much when the color is applied on lids.

Staying EfficacyThe eye shadows wore quite well with primer on, and one can barely notice and creasing or fading for over 4/5 hours of wear.

- A pearly gold with soft frost finish. Great color pay off and fairly smooth texture.
- A deep plum toned brown with matte finish. Average color pay-off and sheer texture.
- A pearly rust with subtle golden shimmers. Great color pay-off and buttery smooth texture.
Bottom Row Shades
- A pearly olive with faint golden shimmers. The formula is slightly smooth but not overly buttery and has good color pay-off.
- A pearly peach with subtle golden shimmers that dispenses evenly on lids. Slightly smooth texture with average color pay-off.
- A frosty flesh tone shade that applies nude on fair to medium complexion. Smooth texture and good color pay-off.
