Went out to lake Reba today to do a little fishing. Air temps were in the upper 40's low 50's and it was overcast with an approaching cold front. I started out using a 1/32 ounce black and white hair jig with a crappie nibble suspended 6 feet below a float. I cast out beside a submerged tree that is about in about 15-20 feet of water. I caught three or four crappie in about 10 minutes. I tried moving the float a little deeper to about 10 feet and it paid off. Me and one other guy ended up catching about 15 crappie all around the 8 inch mark in about 45 minutes. That is all of the time I had to fish today but as of right now the bite is doing pretty good. We are supposed to get a pretty bad snow tonight so I would guess they will probably shut off for the next few days.
