Finally, after much deliberation, I decided to buy L'Oreal's True Match BB Cream. Generally, I wouldn't buy a BB cream if it's not Korean. They are like, the originals, and only Koreans know how to nail a BB Cream.
These American/British/Australian/French brands could never tickle my fancy. They only took their tinted moisturizers and renamed them BB/CC Creams.
But this one got me. It got me by its classy looks and shockingly low price. I mean its L'Oreal, and it has a BB Cream worth INR 550!! Plus, wait till you read its compnents...

PACKAGING & THE PRODUCTNow this BB cream was launched to stand its ground in the Indian market. This one is available only in Asia- specifically India. The European Market has the "Nude Magique" BB cream, which sometimes is available here as well. This one has a little more coverage than the Nude Magique one and offcourse is also cheaper.
The packaging is very classy. Like I said, this is what made me buy it! Light Ivory Gold Tube with pale Gold cap..very elegant. The squeeze tube is easy to use and is not at all messy.The product is neither runny nor too thick. It is slightly viscous but in a good way, as it only helps in a smoother application.There are only three shades available. Ivory, Gold and Honey. I have the Ivory, which is tad lighter for my skintone but then Honey and Gold were too yellow/orange. Sadly, I do not have a "True Match" :(
HOW IS THIS BB CREAM AWESOMEThere, I said it. This BB cream is hands down the best among all BB's available in Indian market today.How?? Well, it has the best ingredients in market, and they are blended in so fine that this applies to skin like a dream.It has :Hyaluronic Acid - Known to retain moisture in skin. It naturally exists in our body, but eventually, with age, it depreciates, hence the wrinkles.
Vitamin Cg – this is a synthetic form of Vitamin C this is highly prized for its ability to firm the skin and fight against oxidative stress and damage. As the Vitamin Cg penetrates the dermal layer of skin where it stimulates the production of new collagen, it transforms into a more pure form of the ingredient where it is gradually released over a 24 hour period.
Collagen - .Collagen is a protein present in all the body’s organs and tissues. As we lose collagen throughout the aging process, our skin gets thinner, and wrinkles begin to set in.It provides the matrix that sustains the body’s structure.It provides integrity, firmness and elasticity to their structures. Maximizing collagen levels will keep skin supple.
Adenosine - Adenosine penetrates deeply into the skin to help prevent wrinkles, reduce UV B sun damage. - Great price, considering L'Oreal is a higher drugstore brand.
- Light to medium coverage
- Stays put for a good 3-4 hours without primer (yea..I think that a plus as no non-Korean BB cream stays on my face for more that an hour or two).
- SPF 35 PA+++ (PA+++ is highest standard for sun protection in Asia)
- Has hyaluronic acid therefore mmore hydration
- Does not make skin oily.
- Works well as a base (for daytime)
- Has collagen, does make my skin a little supple :)
- Has Adenosine for wrinkles.
- Has Vitamin CG for clarifying skin
YOU WILL HATE IT FOR
- Dimethicone! (although its fine in my books)
Okay. I know it has way too many constituents and it is hard to believe that you will get all this for just 550 bucks. But this cream is worth a try for sure. I am not saying it will 100% work for you...it may not. But I, who has probably the worst skin possible on this planet, am loving it. I am obviously not seeing any skincare benefits already, but remember, its a MAKEUP item and not skincare. These benefits are just added plus.I will definitely update this post if I see any skincare benefits coming from it. All I can say is that this is for sure the best non Korean BB cream in India, if not in the world.
