Recently, I went with my school band to Orlando to perform in Magic Kingdom. Along with Magic Kingdom we got to go to Universal, Hollywood Studios, etc. I was fortunate enough to go out to a fancy dinner and to see The Blue Man Group. They wanted us to dress-up, so I went for it, and wore a statement outfit. I wore a leather jacket and a hot-pink maxi skirt. You know what they say, go big or go home ^_^
I wanted a lip-color that went along with my pink maxi-skirt. I searched the mountains of makeup and skincare, as I was about to pass out from walking for more than 20ft (Lol). I looked through a great deal of brands and lipsticks to try to find the natural, hot pink color I was looking for.
I found this one, which is the L'Oreal Lipstick Colour Caresse in Velvety Fuchsia. The one thing I hate about drugstore makeup is how I cannot see how the color looks, so I always take off the cap and look at it. This was the closet I could get to match my maxi skirt.
In the tube the lipstick is a very rich, glittering, hot pink color. When applied to the lips it was a lot sheerer than I expected. I don't priming my lips with foundation because it can be seen under the sheer lipstick. It is actually quite moisturizing and keeps my lips from getting dry and tight.
That was basically it for this review. I would definitely recommend to try out especially for the warmer seasons. This was a simple edition to my lipstick collection and I hope to get into more solid, opaque lipsticks. Anyways, please comment and follow my links below.
