By Get Set Blush @GetSet_Blush
Hey people..
Headed to my blog after a really long time. Most of you(all of you by now) may be knowing that I am being obsessed over Korea (specifically south Korea). It is like my latest obsession. I love everything about them. The people, the language, their skincare routine,KDRAMA,KPOP,food, culture.. like EVERYTHING about them just amazes me. Coming to the point,  I have slowly started copying their styles and to my surprise, I could carry them off too. I started off with chopping my hair and I now have thick bangs which is the basic style statement of koreans. Please tell me how I look. HERE is the picture In this post, I am going to show how I created their quick bitten lips look. Look at the pictures below, It is the latest trend. Korean Style Gradient Lips aka Bitten Lips - Indian way of achieving the look Also, this has been incorporated by models and some kdrama actresses who actually made this gradient lips popular. Korean Style Gradient Lips aka Bitten Lips - Indian way of achieving the look Though this style has been there for a very long time, It was created using two shades of the same lipstick colour which created an ombre effect. But Koreans in particular made it different. They lightened the outer corners of the lips and darkened the center so as it make it look as if its bitten. Well, in technical terms it is called the gradient effect. Now that I have introduced you guys to this style, please check the way how I created mine.
Any tips and tricks are most welcome.
Step 1:
Start off with nicely scrubbed lips. Exfoliate using a mixture of sugar granules and vaseline. DSC02553 Step 2: Apply Lipbalm. Yes, It is important to moisturize your lips before. DSC02557 With the Lip balm.. my lips look taad better DSC02558 Step3:
Use a concealer slightly lighter than your lips and a shade which is almost matching your skintone. I am MAC NC 45. The number changes according to the season and as of now, I have mentioned the shade I used to cover up my lips.
DSC02559 Apply the concealer on the outer corners of the lips.
DSC02560 You need to blend like crazy. *I guess now you might have understood why I used the lipbalm. This whole process would dry out the lips*
DSC02562 Step 4: Apply a lip tint. Here, I have used the VIVO Cosmetics matte lipstick in Pucker Red(check the review here) which I bet can be used as a lip tint. DSC02563 Apply on the middle of the lower lip and blend outwards. You don't need to apply a lot of it but just tap the lipstick on the inner side of the lower lip. Just pucker your lips and tada.. done.
DSC02565 modified Try pouting once you are done with blending.
DSC02569 modified That's me :D :D
DSC02581 modified Lessons Learnt: When I was trying this I have learnt few things.
  1. Use your finger to blend : For precision and ease.
  2. If you are using a lipstick, use the one which is not creamy.
  3. Pout :D
