Causes

Cause of chronic kidney failure
This condition occurs in old age dogs and is very difficult to diagnose because it spreads very slowly. The major cause of chronic kidney failure is dental disease. Diagnosis
- Physical examination- weight loss, decrease in appetite and ulcers in mouth shows physical symptoms
- Blood test- in this test high levels of creatinine shows decreased kidney functions.
- Urinalysis- specific gravity and protein value can be diagnosed with the help of this test. Low level of specific gravity and high value of protein indicates impared kidney functions.
Treatment
If kidney disease is diagnosed in a dog then treatment is given according to the dog's condition. In this condition Symptomatic treatment is given.

Dose- 1 Teaspoonful twice daily
2. Rencure Formula
Rencure is in the form of a capsule. This capsule contains punarnava (boerhavia diffusa), varun (crataeva nurvala), kaasni (cichorium intybus), gokshur (tribulus terrestris), and palaash (butea monosperma). Palaash has antioxidant properties and varun present in this capsule is a diuretic herb.
