The protagonist, Shane Riley was a professional baseball player until his knee was injured in a car accident. Shane has lost contact with his sister, Daisy, and has no idea where she is or what kind of life she’s living. He feels like he has failed… that he should have been watching over his sister but he didn’t. Shane feels like God has failed him by allowing his accident to happen, which then caused him to be knocked him off of the baseball team. He’s going to leave Los Angeles and head out to Refuge, Wyoming until he recovers.
Melissa June “MJ” Townsend has had a hard time getting by as a single mother, but she does her best for her little boy, Cody. She is going home to sell the house her grandfather left her hoping that the money will help get her back on her feet.
When He Found Me addresses some real issues of today – domestic abuse, unwed pregnancy and abortion and alcohol. It’s also an emotional love story on many levels – between a man and a woman, a brother and sister, a mother and child. Overall, When He Found Me is the story of God’s love for all of us. Your heart will go out to this single mother as you admire her determination to make it on her own. They all have regrets in their lives but find there is forgiveness for their mistakes.
