Wow! Off L.A.M.F.! Listen to that. That sounds just like the New York Dolls! L.A.M.F. is a great album.
Actually this is off of a later release called L.A.M.F. (The Lost 1977 Mixes). As L.A.M.F. was released in 1979, this is a much earlier mix than the one that appeared on the album. Although there was only one studio L.A.M.F. album released and that was in 1979, through the 1980′s, this album was released again a number of times in a variety of forms with different mixes and whatnot.
Live at CBGB’s New York! 1978!
We will always love you Johnny!
Johnny Thunders with whichever lineup he had with him in 1984. This time he is on lead vocals. Look at those dance moves! Walter Lure on guitar is right there with Johnny the whole time, anchoring down this lovely mess.
Thunders was a real punk. Look at any photograph of him. Listen to his voice. That is one Hell of a punky voice. And of course, he was definitely an androgyne, just like Iggy, back when androgyne did not = homosexual. Straight androgyny – one more thing ruined by the homosexuals. Thanks a lot, gays!
Now that’s some real rock and roll!
