Fashion Magazine
As mentioned in my previous post, this past weekend was spent with my Dad in Texas! My trip consisted of good laughs, great food, fabulous fashion, antiquing, and Jean Paul Gaultier. The main reason of my trip was to A. see my dad & B. go to the Jean Paul Gaultier: from the Sidewalk to the Catwalk exhibit. My first night in we headed to the Dallas Museum of Art for one of the best museum exhibits I have ever seen. Not only were the clothes & photos breathtaking, yet the mannequins really stole the show. The mannequins had moving images of women & men projecting onto their blank canvas of a face, so it looked as if they were talking, winking, smiling, blinking. There were few that would sing as well as describe their outfits, it was creepy & awesome all at once. Stay tuned for a blog post regarding the rest of my amazing weekend jaunt to Texas.
Jean Paul Gaultier black studded men's boots.
The detail in JPG's designs is out of this world. Some pieces taking up to 180 hours to finish... straight.
Pardon my exhausted looking face, I was up at 4am to catch my plan.
Jean Paul Gaultier's Parisienne Collection. All outfits were different parts of the human body.
My favorite piece of the night. Jean Paul Gaultier's chain mail studded jacket.
Polaroids of Madonna wearing Jean Paul Gaultier.
Pardon the cell phone pictures, but I had to snap Jean Paul Gaultier's iconic stripes.
Signed by Jean Paul Gaultier himself.
Museum swag. Can't wait to use my new brass knuckle mug!
