Jam filled home made chocolateA very quick and effortless dessert/sweet -week end special :). Though I call it quick and effortless,it is no way inferior to be presented as an elegant gift or find its way on a party table.If you love giving DIY gifts for friend and family,you must try this once at least :).A true chocoholic's heaven and unleash your creativity with the filling.I have used jam here and you can use whatever you feel like (see notes).I made these cuties quite some time back and completely forgot to blog about them,though they may look very normal,one bite and I am sure you will be pleased.
Jam filled homemade chocolate recipe
Star ingredients:Homemade chocolate mixture,jam
Time:40 minutes+setting time
Yield:15
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup milk powder
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
3/4 cup powdered or icing sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
Dried fruits,nuts as of your choice
A tiny pinch of sea salt
1 1/2 tablespoons milk 3 tablespoons jam(I used cherry preserve)Method:
1.Beat the sugar and butter very well until creamy in large bowl.
2.Add milk powder.cocoa,sea salt to this and mix well.The mixture will be something like very fine bread crumbs.
Jam filled home made chocolate3.Now heat a non stick kadai and add the mixture to it.Stir on medium flame for 10 minutes.add milk,s and stir for 5 minutes.The mixture will turn glossy and butter will begin to melt.4.Stir until the mixture becomes a little bit loose and free flowing.5.Now take a chocolate mould(I used a silicon one).Drop 1/2 teaspoon chocolate mixture in each mold and let it sit for 20 minutes.6.Now scoop in 1/4 teaspoon jam/preserve in each hole and allow to rest for 10 minutes.7.Fill in the chocolate mixture to completely cover the jam in each hole and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.Once set,unmold and serve.Notes:
1.Instead of cherry preserve I have used,you can use any fruit jam,homemade jam etc.
2.You can even mix shredded coconut with dry fruits instead of jam filling
