It’s Almost June

By Crossstitchyourheart @TMNienaber

Where does the time go?  I thought May would have at least one more week left, but we’re nearing the end of the month and its almost June.  I can tell it’s getting close to the end of the month because I’m starting to feel a little off and worried about finishing everything I need to get done.  Not to mention there’s still no word from the job so I’m in a bit of a limbo about how I should be planning my time until someone gets back with me to talk about my start date.  Oh life.  When will you get less complicated?

The book is coming along well.  I finally got the new cover finished.  I’m not entirely pleased with it because I feel my artistic skills are severely lacking but its a big step up from the first draft so overall I’m happy with it.  I’ve got one more read-through and edit to go but once that’s finished I’ll be ready to go.  Shouldn’t be too much left to go now…it just feels like it.

I have been making progress on the cross-stitch gift project and once that’s finished I’ll have one less thing to worry about in June.

I really like how it’s turning out, it’ll look even better once I get all the back-stitch done though.  Right now it’s hard to tell how the flower details are going to look and it really needs that little extra touch.  I should be able to finish the back stitch on the top half today and then I can move on to finishing the cake and getting the names and dates put in.  I’m very happy with the way this pattern has been going and I’m glad I picked this one over some of the other options.  I just like all the colors, not to mention it looks contemporary.  I’m excited to show off the finish work, hope the cousin likes it!

Now that you’re done reading, go do something crafty, or read a good book, or just take it easy.  Today feels like it should be a sit outside and stare at the clouds kind of day.
