Christmas is coming, and as the festive season approaches I find myself compiling wishlist after wishlist in my head, of what I'd like to receive from Santa this year.
As I've gotten older (this sounds like I'm nearing retirement, not in my early twenties!) I've started to value the saying "quality over quantity" more and more, and so this year instead of wanting a plethora of little bits 'n' bobs to add to my ever expanding wardrobe I've decided that I'd rather invest in just a couple of 'key' pieces, 'classics' if you will. Items that despite costing a considerable amount more, will be worth it as they'll outlast almost everything else I own!
Above are some of my current favorite pieces. Top of the list being the Mulberry Alexa and the Alexander McQueen scarf - both are so beautiful and completely timeless, which is ultimately exactly what I'm after ♥
What does everyone else think about the idea of investment pieces? If there was one designer item you were to spend your hard earned cash on, what would it be?
