As I help my friend decide on ways to update her kitchen the lighting is just as important a priority as what counter top we choose. Here are some of our favorite island lighting right now. What lighting adorns your island?
The fabulous kitchen from this past year's Kipsbay by Matthew Quinn had Downtown20 island lighting. My friend fell in love with these and as luck would have it Arterior's has managed to create their own version below.

The classic Kitchen by Christopher Peacock will always be one of my favorites. The lighting was from Vaughan but one may have the look with a lovely shaded pendant from Circa Lighting.
Love this take on the industrial island light- Victoria Hagan.
The brass truly gives it an elegant touch.

We love the funky Hicks light. It adds that modern twist to any traditional setting.

Well Lee Ann Thornton did a gorgeous kitchen and those lights are stunning!
Our choice for this NJ kitchen was a lovely Vaughan Lantern it was sophisticated and
gave off plenty of light.

Having seen this kitchen in person I can tell you it was fabulous! Tina of The Enchanted Home created an elegant island with her shop's selection of Bell Jar Lanterns.
