There weren’t that many of them. Were one out of every 300 people in those societies mahus or berdaches? These people were simply allowed to dress up like the opposite sex and be gay. Berdaches were more or less the equivalent of gay men and lesbians these days. But they were not common at all. So we do not know where transsexuals begin and gays end in the case of berdaches. We know that they were gay, but how many were transsexuals? The trannies will try to claim all the berdaches as gay because they are trying to claim everyone nowadays. But is that the case? Surely berdaches were homosexuals, but how many were also transsexuals? Surely not all of them. Some? Any? No one knows.
Anyway, berdaches were allowed to be gay and dress up like the opposite sex and they were quite happy that way. We have no reports that berdaches were habitually engulfed in a rabbit hole of endless mental illness as transsexuals nowadays are. We have no reports that they were depressed or suicidal or any more so than anyone else. Once they were allowed to be gay and dress up like the other sex, their problems if any went away.
Note that this is not good enough for transsexuals. Just dressing up like the opposite sex is not nearly good enough for them. Transsexuals who just dress up like the opposite sex have a 44% rate of attempted suicide, one of the highest rates on Earth. They are extremely unhappy because they have not yet transitioned. They long to transition and will be seriously miserable and crazy until they go through the process. At least ~15% of them finally commit suicide, one of the highest rates of any group and comparable to Borderlines and Bipolars.
Since berdaches were perfectly happy being pre-op non-transitioned transsexuals, it is dubious if any of them were really transsexual in the modern sense of the word.
The modern transsexual is a creation of modern society. Some of it is real in a sense, but if it is biological, then there were always people like this, and they got along fine without transitioning in the past.
The modern, disastrously mentally ill transsexual, obsessed with the conviction that they are the opposite sex, angry and demanding surgery and pills to complete the process else they kill themselves, seems to be a modern creation. There is no record that such folks existed in any numbers in the past in any society.
And a certain amount of transsexualism looks like faddism. Many transsexuals report that they did not “realize they were transsexual” until they were in their 20’s. This is absurd. If it is biological, of course they would know early on. Anyone “realizing they are transsexual” in their 20’s is either crazy or falling victim to a fad.
