The training cycle this time is fairly similar to my training cycle last time. I definitely wish I could have/would have done more but on the whole, I know I did enough to prepare. I completed 3 century rides, one 15-mile run and one 16-mile run, plus one full-length open-water swim. I took too many rest days and didn't stretch or strength train enough. I also wish I could have more time to spend with my dog and husband so oh well. At this point, it is what it is.
This time, I feel calmer and more at peace with the race. Not necessarily more confident, but less worried about the unknowns. Maybe because I know what to expect this time. Maybe because I feel more equipped to deal with the challenges that come up. I know the day will not go perfectly but the way to have a great race is to always be troubleshooting. And I'm prepared to deal with all that.

On the whole, I am healthy and uninjured and those are all good things. My body has held up well. I am ready to get this race started tomorrow.
You can track me here - I'm bib number 658.
I'm coming for you finish line.
