Ipsy Glam Bag Review: March

By Sars @RockinAroundThe

Legally Blonde is on TV right now, and I freaking love that movie.  Anyway… it’s that time of the month again!

March Glam Bag

I’m not really feeling this bag, I don’t know what these blobs are supposed to be.  The bag looks like it has alien appetizers on it.  Perhaps I’d be into it if it was pastel pink and mint green, I’ve been really into light shades lately.  Here’s what was inside…

Nicole by OPI, Roughles Collection: On What Grounds?

Roughles

I was in love as soon as I pulled this polish out of its little black box and saw the shade.  This color is sooo spring to me, yet it’s got this mermaid kind of thing going on so it can be rocked throughout summer.  The Roughles collection was just released, and the polishes are textured, gritty, and matte.  At first glance I thought that this was a glitter polish, but it’s so not.  It almost looks like sand.  I was really eager to try it out, and I painted my nails immediately.

Roughles Polish

Excuse my cutes, I did really aggressive cuticle cutting.  I used two coats + a top coat, and you could still see the gritty texture.  The polish reminds me of cement, which seems to be having a serious moment right now.  I’m dying for a cement counter after seeing A Beautiful Mess’s DIY, and I’ve been seeing a lot of cement jewelry and coating recently.  I never thought I’d be describing something as cement like in a good way.  I’m obsessed with this polish, and I’m not a texture girl.

Be A Bombshell, Eyeshadow in Bora Bora

Summer Eyes

When I opened this little box, I wanted it to be a coral blush.  However, I wasn’t even the slightest bit disappointed about the eyeshadow.  These colors are more summer than spring, but they’re gorge.  I even like the blue.  These shades are like warm weather perfection.  I used the blue to line the outer corners of my eyes, and the gold to line the rest of my eye.  After blending, I was totally into the look.

bareMinerals, Marvelous Moxie: Get Ready

Spring Lips

Usually, I hate small samples… but I think this one’s adorbs.  This lipstick goes on smooth, it stays put, and the color is beautimous.  I don’t know how to describe the color, it’s kind of pink, kind of mauve, it’s pretty.  This is a shade that I would wear regularly.

Klorane, Soothing and Relaxing Patches

Eye Mask

I love a good face mask, so I was excited about these.  They were surprisingly easy to apply, I thought they would be like really wet and flimsy (ew).

Eye Masks

I could feel the mask working right away.  It felt cool, like peppermint.  I didn’t really see any noticeable results, but I’d still use these again… if they weren’t expensive.

The Verdict

I love gettin Ipsy.  I feel like the products in most of the recent bags are cohesive, which is awesome.  Everything seems to work together, so you can try it all out at the same time.

In other subscription news, I’m thinking about getting BarkBox.

Bad Pug

This pug is seriously a butt (a butt that just got busted eating that chair), and perhaps he will behave if he has a monthly treat… but I highly doubt that.  Does anyone subscribe to BarkBox?  Is it worth it, or do they send lame shizz?
