Ipsy Glam Bag Review: February

Erybody in da club gettin Ipsy.

February Glam Bag

J’adore the little pink bag.  The lining is really cute too, I’d def use this as a makeup bag.  My baggle looked totally stuffed, so I was pretty excited to open.  Here’s what I got.

First Aid Beauty, Deep Cleanser With Red Clay

Cleanser

I love getting cleansers because I stay washing my face.  I expected this one to be really thick like a mud mask (because it said clay on it), but it was more of a gel.  It smelled amazing, like a summer herb garden.  I felt like it opened my pores and cleaned the shizz out of them.  This cleanser will prob last me a solid 2-3 weeks, and you best believe I’ll use it all up.

Zoya Nail Laquer, Odette

Spring Nails

I’ve been looking for a new color of the week, and this is it.  I am in love with this shade.  It’s springy, but the color has the ability to work every season.  I love an opaque nail color.  This hue is everything, I can’t wait to paint my nails with it.

J.Cats, Eyelashes + Glue

Fake Lashes

My eyelashes are already really long (people always ask me if they’re fake), so I don’t ever mess with fake lashes.  The packaging for these lashes is adorable.  Maybe I’ll wear them if I decide to become a stripper.

Eyetini, Shadow Tint in Ambrosia

Mauve Eyeshadow

This shadow tint is transfer resistant, and is not supposed to crease.  The color in the tube was a little dark for me, I was intimidated.  I like the consistency of the shadow, and it’s easy to apply.  However, I have extremely fair skin and this was not my color.  When I tried the shadow on my entire lid, it looked like I had been up all night smoking meth… or like someone punched me in both eyes.  Love the product, hate the color.

Pop Beauty, Plump Pout in Peony Petal

Spring Lips

I love this color, and the little tube… it’s so sleek.  This is supposed to be a gloss, plumper, and stain all rolled into one.  It’s really messy to apply, and I didn’t feel a hint of plumper tingle at all.  This color is perfection, it would look amazing on all skin tones… I just wish it was a lipstick or stain, not a gloss.  This lip color smelled really bad, like a wet electronic.

The Verdict

I feel kind of like that Meatloaf song… two out of three ain’t bad.  I liked the nail polish and cleanser, and together they are worth more than the cost of the bag.  I’d rather spend $10 on the following, than this Glam Bag:

  • 3 Glade seasonal candles
  • 5 Sinful Colors nail polishes
  • Cosmo, Glamour, and People Stylewatch
  • A phone charger from 7-11
